Acceptance of these terms
These terms apply to access to the FirstConnect website and service. By using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation. An order form, subscription confirmation or separately signed agreement may include additional terms and will control if there is a conflict.
The service
FirstConnect provides web-based tools for configuring and managing guest and visitor check-in. Features, usage limits, locations, support and implementation services depend on the selected plan or agreed order.
Accounts and access
Customers are responsible for keeping account details accurate, assigning access only to authorised people and protecting login credentials. Activity performed through an account may be treated as activity authorised by the customer unless FirstConnect has been notified of suspected misuse.
Customer responsibilities
Customers control their check-in questions, notices, visitor communications, user permissions and record-handling settings. They must use the service lawfully and ensure that the information they collect is relevant to a legitimate operational purpose.
- Provide appropriate notices and obtain any required permissions
- Keep authorised-user access current
- Set suitable retention and deletion practices
- Respond to visitor requests relating to customer-controlled records
- Avoid uploading unlawful, harmful or unnecessary information
Acceptable use
The service must not be used to break the law, infringe another person's rights, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, test vulnerabilities without written permission or build a competing service through systematic extraction or reverse engineering.
Customer data and privacy
Customers retain their rights in the information they submit. They permit FirstConnect and its contracted providers to process that information only as needed to provide, secure and support the service and meet applicable obligations. The Privacy Policy provides further information about data handling.
Fees, taxes and renewal
Plan fees, billing frequency, usage limits, applicable taxes and renewal terms are shown in the relevant order or subscription confirmation. Fees must be paid when due. Changes to a plan or scope may change the applicable fees.
Intellectual property
FirstConnect and its licensors retain rights in the platform, software, design, documentation and branding. The customer receives a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service during its subscription for its internal operations, subject to these terms.
Third-party services
Optional links or integrations may depend on third-party products. Those products are governed by their own terms and may change independently of FirstConnect. We are not responsible for a third party's service, content or availability.
Availability and support
We aim to provide a reliable service, but access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, updates or circumstances outside reasonable control. Any specific service levels, support commitments or implementation dates must be stated in the applicable agreement or order.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or suspended where necessary to address a security risk, unlawful use, material breach or overdue payment. Subscription cancellation and termination rights are governed by the applicable order, agreement and Refund Policy. Provisions that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
Disclaimers and liability
Except for commitments expressly stated in an applicable agreement, the service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. FirstConnect does not provide legal advice or guarantee that a customer's configuration satisfies every legal or operational requirement. Any exclusions or limits of liability are subject to the applicable agreement and mandatory law.
Applicable law and changes
The governing law and dispute process stated in an applicable signed agreement or order will apply. Otherwise, these terms are governed by applicable laws of India, without limiting rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may update these terms for future use of the service and will identify the current version by its updated date.
